Logistics Claims Administrator

Review and evaluate all claims documentation prior to filing to ensure that all necessary claims documentation has been filed by the division to support quick and efficient claims collection.
 
Work directly with divisional claims personnel to resolve issues.
 
Prepares and processes logistics managed claims within the EZ Claim system, to include coordinating and gathering of claim documents (internal and external).
 
Ensures that fault is clearly established (Carrier or Vendor) and assist with resolution of claims with all parties on a daily basis.
 
Analyze claims process from original claim submission (EZClaim) to final payment to Division for submitted claim.
 
Assist in negotiated settlement, if required.
 
Oversee the salvage processes and manage salvage broker relationships in regard to damaged and/or expired product across the USF divisions. This process includes managing damaged product held at cold storage facilities through final settlement of monies received from salvage broker for sale of damaged product.
 
Track, analyze and document carrier and vendor performance based on claim reportings.
 
Conduct extensive research across multiple stakeholders, including outside vendors, required to resolve claim disputes between Division, Carriers, Legal and Vendors.
 
Oversee claims process by serving as main point of contact with the National SIS, Financial Service Center and Legal departments to ensure overall integrity of the claims process is implemented on all claims.
 
Prepare and issue monthly outstanding claims reports to divisions finance groups and Logistics Management.
 
Review and follow up on all outstanding/unpaid claims with carriers and insurance companies. Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned within the logistics support group.

Education/Training: High school diploma required. College degree preferred.

 

Related Experience: Minimum 3 years logistics, transportation, and/or purchasing experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have claims processing experience working with a supply chain operation. Experience in a foodservice/distribution setting a plus.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact positively with a wide variety of employees at all levels. Demonstrated effective negotiating skills with ability to analyze and organize facts into useful knowledge. High degree of coordination, planning and organizational skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
