• Operate as a strategic advisor to the Enterprise Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (EDABI) leadership team, focused on talent management to build the best team
• Strategize with the business to translate pyramid objectives into talent implications & actions
• Lead, influence, support, and facilitate organizational change and communication
• Consult with the business by understanding how to align and integrate people with business needs through organization design and talent development
• Determine and plan workforce needs to identify and mobilize the right talent to meet business needs
• Collaborate with partners to lead the communication and implementation of HR cyclical processes including; Talent Planning, Annual Merit, Performance Review Process and Best Team Survey
• Assess talent and lead as a brand ambassador who understands and champions Target’s purpose, beliefs, and behaviors
• Act as a courageous shaper and keeper of culture. Allow for differentiation that feels true to tech industry, and also upholds the leadership expectations of the enterprise
• Champion diversity & inclusion; fosters an inclusive culture
• Collaborate and stay tied to work being driven out of headquarters, ability to bring in nuances where appropriate so that it resonates with Sunnyvale team
• Support Talent Acquisition strategy, execution, and best practices as the Sunnyvale continues to experience rapid growth
• Serve as local/onsite HR for employee relations issues, hiring assistance, and overall culture for the San Francisco office and extended Sunnyvale teams
• Provide remote, full-scope HR support to the EDABI Pittsburgh & Seattle offices primarily through phone and email interaction, with travel 2x/year. Provide remote support to India team members
• Manage full cycle performance management including team member rewards, recognition, corrective action, and conduct
• Improve onboarding of talent in the Sunnyvale office so that it is on par with headquarters experience and grounds team members in Target’s purpose, beliefs, and behaviors effectively
• Oversee Data Science & Engineering PhD intern program in partnership with Campus Talent Acquisition team, ensuring a rich experience for interns and conversion of top talent to Target
• Support integration and onboarding of team members through acquisitions as necessary
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous generalist experience
• 7-10 years of business experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate well with all levels in the organization
• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
• Proven track record of improving culture
• Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong ability to manage conflict
• Resilient and adaptable to change
• Ability to speak tech & engineering (preferred); learning agility & business curiosity required
• Ability to build trusting and credible relationships with team members and leaders of all backgrounds
