This position will be the primary 1:1 operational liaison with the 3Pl provider to ensure program and contract performance including cost, service, visibility, and sustainability objectives are achieved. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
• This position will collaborate with the 3PL to develop standard practices that facilitate efficient movement of good through the facility and audit compliance. This will include proper sortation and diverting goods to the correct DC, ensure adequate outbound equipment is available to load and work with carriers to remove empty equipment.
• Will work with the 3PL to correct any non-compliant performance vs agreed contractual service levels and correct any deviations as a result of operational checks, validation of on dock accuracy and daily reporting.
• Audit vendor and carrier compliance to Macy’s vendor standards and routing guides to include BOL’s, correct carrier usage, accuracy of freight received, appointment quantity, cube and weight, and label quality and accuracy.
• Review all claims for accuracy and process timely.
• Approve non-standard accessorial charges for accuracy and timely payment.
• Review and maintain FedFlo accuracy for appointment date, shipment information, and any notes as needed.
• Monitor outbound dwell time to ensure timely movement of goods.
• Partner with carrier management to ensure appropriate participation of Macy’s carriers.
• Support Supply Chain collaboration team through vendor visits and operational analysis.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience with 8 years’ experience working on a cross-dock, LTL terminal, or shipping/receiving environment, such as a distribution center.
• Experience working with cross functional teams including vendors, carriers, and finance is helpful.
• Experience with computer systems such as WMS, TMS, and Exel would be helpful.
• Prefer prior supervisory experience working with clerical and floor associates.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
• This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
