The Senior Customer Contract Manager is responsible for drafting, modifying and negotiating customer contracts and proposals that are complex in scope.
Roles and responsibilities:
Review and approve contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, satisfaction of customer specifications & protection of the company's contractual posture
Provide interpretation and analysis of contract documents
Review and evaluate requests for changes in or revisions of contracts that involve technical specifications, cost, and all other impacts on the company
Ensure proper execution of contract documents, preparation of statements of work, Pricing Schedules and other contractual documents
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions
Participate in or coordinates the preparation and review of bid packages including contract terms and conditions, cost objectives and other legal requirements
Negotiate with customers the contract terms and conditions, revisions, specifications and any follow-on quotations that underlie NI transactions
Use judgment within defined practices and procedures.
Contribute to the achievement of the NI organization's goals and objectives
Provide advice leading to resolution on a diverse range of complex issues
Education:
Requires a law degree and at least 3 years of general law experience, including at least 12 months of experience supporting a technology business that sells to Customers and buys from Suppliers.
Required Skills and Experience
5 or more years of relevant professional experience
Experience working with contracts; drafting and reviewing contracts and proposals
Negotiation skills and experience negotiating contract documents
Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to work with internal and external customers as needed
