Position Summary:

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsibility for managing the relationships with governmental agencies (i.e.: State, Federal, Office of the Comptroller of Currency) and/or Financial Institutions involved with the Kohl's Charge portfolio. Responsible for directing, organizing, and conducting meetings or portfolio reviews as related to regulatory compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Federal and State regulatory complianc

  • Subject matter expert (SME) for regulatory compliance, state and federal
  • Coordinates interaction with regulatory agencies, i.e.; OCC, State, etc.
  • Interacts with and is the main point of contact for all regulatory agencies
  • Responsible for interacting with agencies regarding interpretation and clarification of regulations.

Compliance adherence, Financial Institution Partners

  • Subject matter expert (SME) for regulatory compliance with partner Financial Institutions as related to Kohl's Charge.
  • Main point of contact with Financial Institution partners to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Responsible for interpreting and communicating actions required to ensure compliance

Operations management of legal action

  • Point of contact for any legal matter related to Kohl's charge. Interacts with internal and external legal counsel as the subject matter expert for the credit division.
  • Represents Kohl's Credit Operations as necessary for depositions and other related matters.
  • Primary point of contact for business partners (legal, marketing) for all legal documents related to credit forms.
  • Ensures applications, billing statements, change in terms notices, and other related legal documents are in order and properly distributed.

Management of associates

  • Manages direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices.
  • Prepares and analyze unit plans and reports.
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area.
  • Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications.
  • Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

required

  • 10+ years experience with consumer credit regulations, federal and state
  • 3+ years experience managing direct relationships with regulatory agencies, federal and state
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with federal and state audit processes
  • Hands on experience with managing, supervising, and conducting internal audits.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field with extensive hands on experience

preferred

  • Representing corporation as a subject matter expert in legal proceedings.
  • Subject matter expert while representing the corporation in group and industry forums related to regulatory compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years management experience.
