Internship / Co-op, Government Relations

Comcast - Wilmington, MA

Responsible for providing routine clerical support for functional
groups. Under direct supervision will provide support such as copying,
distributing mail, performing simple calculations, and maintaining
records and files. Follows standard procedures for all assigned work.

Core Responsibilities:
- Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
- Processes routine items and records.
- Answers phones and takes messages or provides information.
- Operates various office equipment.
- Assists with projects to ensure deadlines are met.

- Data entry for in-kind and cash donations

-Producing gift certificates

- Handling Internet Essentials materials mailings

- Packing and shipping event materials

- Coordinating the data sorting and creation of annual courtesy service letters

- Creating process sheets and tracking event management data for Comcast Cares Day

- Creating draft communications for internal and external community newsletters

- Managing event inventory

- Digitizing records

- Attendance for sponsored events

- The current two person staff is engaged in grantmaking and sponsorships, managing major employee campaigns, activating business campaigns around social initiatives, activating local media events, contacting partners for business support purposes, and strategizing outreach around philanthropic goals.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

High School or Equivalent
- Available for a minimum of 6 month Co-op
- Generally requires 0-2 years related experience
