Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Vice President to join our Public Institutions Group located in Washington, DC
About Public Institutions: Jones Lang LaSalle’s Public Institutions group identifies and implements strategies that allow public sector organizations to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. Projects vary greatly in subject and complexity - the group’s areas of expertise include:

 

  • Real estate strategy
  • Highest and best use studies
  • Financial and strategic feasibility analysis
  • Master planning
  • Development advisory and oversight, including large-scale, mixed-used development and re-development
  • Transaction Management (Acquisitions/Dispositions/Sale-Leaseback/Enhanced-Use Leasing)
  • Analysis of financing / ownership structures
  • Asset and portfolio management
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Energy savings / sustainability efforts
PI employs more than 250 professionals in locations throughout the U.S. and abroad, with a proven track record of success conducting work for more than 200 government and higher education clients.
Responsibilities:
• Advise on all aspects of large-scale privatization or other public sector projects, including property management, development, construction, finance and legal document review

Contribute to business development
 
  • Be actively involved in marketing and selling real estate services
• Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations, and/or ongoing portfolio management
• Develop pro forma financial models based on analysis of economic, demographic and real estate market data
• Perform highest and best use analysis and project feasibility analysis on a variety of real estate types
• Prepare client deliverables, including reports and presentations
• Lead significant client engagements
• Manage client relationships, including communications and meeting management
• Prepare proposals and presentations in response to requests for qualifications (RFQ) / requests for proposals (RFP) on behalf of the firm
 
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate or related field; MBA/Masters RE preferred
• At least ten (10) years’ experience with commercial real estate
• Significant client and project management experience
• Experience with real estate feasibility and economic impact analysis
• Strong experience creating and analyzing development pro-formas
• Experience creating and analyzing development solicitations
• Leadership experience on real estate advisory assignments
• Strong financial/analytical skills related to real estate
• Ability to work independently and be a team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with selling complex real estate advisory services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
