POSITION OBJECTIVE

Creates innovative prints, yarn dyes, sweater pattern, embellishments and/or placed graphics relevant to Brand DNA and trends for a small brand or category

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Designs Innovative Art Concepts

• Owns creating artwork for a brand or broad classification within the division
• Applies seasonal results of color, print and pattern to future art
• Works with Design to develop concept board art needs for milestone meetings

Explores Art Trends and Process Improvement

• Researches current artwork trends in partnership with Textile/Graphic Lead to influence conceptual direction for brand/categories
• Stays abreast of competition and benchmarks relative to brand position
• Understands vendor capability for print technique and fabric base limitations
• Prepares production artwork with accurate information and placement to send to the vendor for sampling or production

QUALIFICATIONS

required

• Strong artistic background including the ability to create conceptual and final art in several different mediums
• Demonstrates increased proficiency and expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Ned Graphics, Kaledo or related program
• Ability to prioritize and execute to multiple deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills

preferred

• College degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design Illustration or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant Print Design experience, preferably in the retail or textile industry
